Building Steps

1. Select Lot & Plan
Begin by selecting a lot and a home plan that aligns with your family’s needs and vision. Curtis Homes has pre-selected locations and home designs to maximize each lot’s potential, eliminating the need for separate land purchases or construction loans.

2. Sign Contracts to Build
Upon deciding to move forward with an identified lot and plan, you will sign a purchase and sales agreement and submit the earnest money deposit to the title company.

3. Choose Home Finishes
Collaborate with Curtis Homes’ design team and partners to select finishes that reflect your style. Some of these include lighting, doors, cabinetry door color and style, countertops, flooring, tile, stair-railing, trim, garage doors, plumbing fixture packages, appliance packages, and fireplace options. You’ll have three scheduled meetings to ensure every detail aligns with your vision.

4. Construction Updates & Walkthroughs
Stay engaged throughout the construction process with five scheduled walk-throughs. Additionally, you’ll have access to a BuilderTrend account, providing regular updates and photos.

5. Move-In Day
Prior to close, Curtis Homes conducts a 300 point inspection ensuring your new home meets our high standards. On Move-in Day, we will provide a detailed homeowner orientation where we will show you your home, you’ll sign the closing documents and receive the keys to your new home!

6. Warranty
We provide a New Home Warranty, ensuring peace of mind and continued support as part of the Curtis Homes family.
