After our house fire we were stressed and Curtis Homes brought the calm. We contacted multiple design and build firms in the Gorge Area, as well as, some outside competitors and Curtis Homes provided the greatest return on investment. From day one of planning Cameron provided detailed explanations of the process steps, as well as excellent recommendations for pre build contractors (i.e. architect, surveyor, etc.) and subs. Once we completed planning and had our quote building only took 9 months that’s including weather delays and government shutdowns (covid).

During the build process I was able to meet weekly with my site lead, to discuss every detail of the design and make tweaks along the way. There were no hidden fees and costs. They have an excellent warranty and everyone on the team is reliable, friendly and great to work with. I couldn’t be more happy with how our design turned out. It looks even better than what we had on paper.

I have so many positives to say ill create a short list;

First saw Curtis Homes on the Central Oregon Tour of Homes in July 2019. Was very impressed with the quality, attention to detail and functionality of floor plans. Continued looking around but could not find this quality in a smaller home. Cameron had a lot in Hidden Hills in Bend and a wonderful 1800 sq ft plan that would fit the lot. We were downsizing from 2600 sq ft and he was happy to make the minor changes in the plan to enhance the storage to meet our needs. Construction began in early February 2020 and we moved in June 22d. The entire process was fun to watch and Cole MacInnis was a delight to work with. Completely professional from ground breaking to move in. A solid home that we are delighted to own. Thanks Cameron and Cole.

Cameron and his team are GREAT!

The Curtis Homes team is made up of polite professionals that are committed to getting the job done right. This was the first home we have had built and the CH team was there to guide and provide insight throughout the process. 

As with any complex project, challenges arose along the way, but the CH team (with Cameron in the lead) were always willing to help negotiate the challenges and resolve the issues. The CH team has been very diligent in knocking out punchlist items regardless of how big or small. We are grateful for the CH team and really happy that we built with them. We love our new home!

We originally contacted Cameron looking to build a home after seeing multiple homes Curtis Homes built that we were very fond of. They actually had a home on the market we were able to buy and after two months in our dream home, we couldn’t be more pleased. The entire team has followed through with utmost professionalism. We have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so. The quality and craftsmanship are routinely remarked on by our guests, but more importantly, it’s an amazing home to raise our 4 daughters in. We fell in love with a 2019 COBA home tours home that Curtis Homes built from a Muddy River Design in Bend. We bought a lot in Sisters a few years ago and decided to jump in and contact the Curtis Homes team to see what our options were. Cameron got back to us immediately, met with us in-person, and helped us line out a budget, timeline and expectations. Jared Vogt was our Project Manager working under Cameron in Sisters, OR and I cannot sing his praises enough. Him and Cameron helped us navigate and negotiate with vendors and contractors…always fighting for our interests and the best overall value for us. Poor Jared, I don’t know how many times we changed our minds on him, but his answer was always “No problem, I will get it done”. I am pretty sure he is the nicest person I have ever met and he really knows how to drive the contractors. His focus was ALWAYS on getting us exactly what we wanted and making sure it was done right.
Curtis Homes started construction on our custom home in March and we got to move in in August! 2020 has been a crazy year and with COVID, I was so thankful to still have a great personal relationship with the Curtis Homes team. They were great at communicating with us through the entire build.

There isn’t enough space to express our appreciation and enthusiasm for Cameron & his team. Attentive and accommodating, professional and reliable, high quality craftsmanship, and personable customer service made what could have been a stressful project into a kick-ass fun experience. We also received excellent communications & follow-through from subs and suppliers. We expect to leave this house “toes up.” What a wonderful way to go!

Update: It’s been a year since moving into our home and we continue to have an excellent relationship with the Curtis Homes’ project site manager, office executive and Cameron, the owner. We even have a great relationship with their subs who provided additional personalization for us, such as a built-in library and a three-tired fountain and rock landscape. We truly feel like a member of the Curtis Home family and know they will continue to support us.

We hired Curtis Homes after finding a Muddy River Designs plan that we loved, and realizing the two firms were working together. Because of Curtis Homes’ business model (and because they stayed on budget), we were able to affordably build our dream home. We would not have been able to otherwise. And due to their vast experience, they walked us through the steps and took all of the stress out of the process, even though it was our first time building a house.

We have been in the house for a year now, and could not be happier. They have been quick to respond to any questions and the minor warranty repair we requested.

We are reminded every day of how fortunate we feel to have such an awesome home. And we are grateful for having had a wonderful home-building experience.

We bought our Curtis home while it was still under construction and while living in another state. These circumstances made the process a little nerve-wracking, however, we found that Cameron and his team were very attentive during this period and after the close of escrow. Our home is beautiful and we are really happy.
